Assistant Professor ❧ Amherst College

Sakeef M. Karim

I am a sociologist working at the intersection of political sociology, cultural sociology, and the sociology of international migration. Specifically, I study cultural stasis and acculturative change in immigrant societies, as well as political cleavages and conflict in the modern world. To do so, I draw heavily on quantitative and computational approaches to sociological inquiry.
